An instant tan gives you an immediate wash of colour from a cosmetic bronzer that rinses off when you shower. A developing tan uses DHA to build a longer-lasting colour over 4–8 hours. Many St.Moriz formulas combine both, so you see colour straight away while the true tan develops underneath.

As a guide, fair skin suits Light or Medium, medium skin looks great in Medium or Dark, and deeper skin tones shine in Dark or Extra Dark. If you're unsure, start lighter — you can always layer for a deeper result.

Your tan will fade naturally as your skin exfoliates. To speed things up, use a gentle exfoliator in the shower and focus on areas that tend to hold colour longer, like elbows, knees and ankles. Avoid harsh scrubs if your skin is sensitive.
